Why are checklists such an important thing you ask?
That’s easy. It’s the most accurate and effective way to complete a set of tasks!
As a housekeeper it can be tough to keep on top of the things our clients need, let alone perform to a time limit. Whilst wasting time trying to figure out where to start and recall what the client has asked to be prioritized, a checklist will help us to keep order and manage our time. In addition to this, it will provide us with absolute consistency. When we visit a client’s house regularly it can be easy for us to forget what we have and haven’t managed to achieve in previous sessions. If we keep to a checklist we can easily navigate around our prime concerns providing our clients with a reliable and successful service.
Checklists are widely used across many different industries. For example, Hospitals will use them as part of their patient safety program, to keep a log of medications, treatments and more. It’s a vital part of healthcare and decreasing medical mistakes. Pilots will reference a check list before takeoff. They are trained to do so rather than rely on memory, to make certain that the aircraft is accurately configured. They can also use them mid-flight, should any problems arise which they need to diagnose. You will also find that School’s use them to keep track of their pupils, although in this instance they are called registers. It’s effective for keeping and forwarding the correct information.
Checklists are to be made available to all our housekeepers. This will be accessible through our site so we can download and print them off with ease. We want to make the cleaning experience more simplistic and orderly for our housekeepers and their clients.
