#Trending: How to Wear Face Mask in Heat

It is still hot. Many of you will be heading out to enjoy the sunshine. Most will be wearing masks, of course. They can be sticky and comfortable – and in hot weather can make you feel terrible.

As you know, we don’t just produce cleaning products, we also clean for a living. We are PPI equipped at all times and sometimes work in very hot, airless environments. I have therefore developed and tested a few methods to make me and my team feel better when wearing a mask. I hope you will find this helpful.

1. Choose a cotton mask that is light in colour. Dark colours absorb more light and convert it into heat.

2. A tiny drop of tea tree, lemon, or eucalyptus essential oil on the mask will help you breathe better, improve congestion for those who suffer from hay fever, and will lift your mood.

3. Don’t wear foundation, powder, or CC cream. Sweating under the face mask will clog your pores, leave an oily film inside the mask and is besides pointless as half of your face is covered! Why not apply striking makeup to your eyes instead (such as lining them with black kohl).

4. DO NOT put your face mask in the freezer before heading out. You might get a freeze burn.

Stay safe and cool and enjoy the sunshine.
