Most vacuums have bags and if not, they will have a container area, like a Dyson that will have a container area/ cylinder. You have the Mieles that have the vacuum bag and replacement filters. The Henry’s and Getty’s also have bags.
At the beginning OF MY journey as house keeper I put a vacuum bag in the wrong way round, by mistake and when I started to vacuum downstairs it sadly stopped working and I could smell was heating up.
I opened it up there were bits everywhere inside the area where the vacuum bag was!
To get if fixed in the end I had to take it to be fixed by a specialist and they told me I was very lucky I did not continue to use it as it would have damaged the actual engine.
Vacuuming is one of the largest jobs in any home and I am sure you have struggled yourself with a vacuum that is not working to its optimum. It’s so frustrating!
I will recommend that if you are not familiar with the vacuum, always make sure you know how to replace a bag or how to empty it if it is a Dyson. This will allow you to work a fast as you want. Most companies nowadays have online tutorials on how to do these things. Take a few minutes out before you go into a property to understand the vacuum and it will save you so much time in the long run!
